Magnus startade sommaren 2009 Basalt AB tillsammans med tre kompanjoner.

Magnus är en seniorkonsult inom IT-infrastruktur och IT-säkerhet.

Magnus är en erkänd expert inom Windows Server, Active Directory och Exchange Server. Magnus har även expertkunskap inom flera öppenkällkod-system. Han har erfarenhet från RedHat Enterprise Server, Fedora, Debian och Ubuntu. Den senaste tiden har Magnus även skaffat sig erfarenhet av Mac OS X.

Magnus har stor erfarenhet som föredragshållare på flera av Sveriges utbildningscenter för IT.

Magnus är även en erfaren programmerare med kunskap i flera språk, till exempel C#, Java, Ruby, bash-skript, VBScript och JavaScript.

Magnus är också teknisk skribent. Under flera år publicerade han flera artiklar i Nätverk och Kommunikation.

Dessutom är Magnus certifierad och praktiserande Scrum-master. Magnus är född 1974.

Security and Infrastructure Specialist
In the IS SWERAP project, Magnus works as a security and infrastructure specialist. He designed and implemented IT-security functions based on MUST KSF and Microsoft Security Guidelines. One notable achievement was to integrate support for Försvarsmaktens TeID smart card for single sign-on authentication. In addition, Magnus designed and implemented e-mail services.

Magnus also took part in designing and implementing network infrastructure services such as DNS and Kerberos.

Other tasks included creating the education for the System Administrators, as well as delivering part of the lectures.

During the exercise and preparation phases for ILLUMINATED SUMMER, Magnus worked as stand-in group manager and ensured that the IT System was installed, configured and operated properly to support the 250 person strong exercise staff.

Realisation and Prototyping Manager, Systems Management
In the FMLS2010 (Försvarsmaktens Ledningssystem 2010) project, a high level design was produced by Ericsson, IBM, SAAB and Boeing for the purposes of achieving the demands of the Network Based Defence (NBD/NBF) vision. In order to evaluate whether or not the design meets the criterion, working prototypes of parts of the system needed to be realised. Magnus was responsible for realising Systems Management prototypes, including IDS, Log Shipping, Policy Control of applications, Configuration Repository, Software Distribution and Health Monitoring. The solution was based on Linux Fedora Core 4, Sun Application Server, Apache Tomcat, Prelude IDS and IBM Tivoli Monitoring in addition to “home grown” Java applications. Magnus was Manager for a three-person group realising the prototypes.
